Monsoon

I turn my head towards the sky,
Thunder in my bones, lightning in my eyes,
Arms outstretched, drenched to my skin,
As everything that lies outside
Is taken in.

A smile, a tinkling laugh, a kiss,
whispers floating through the abyss,
Time slows to a crawl.

My gaze drops to the ground,
Happy tears cascade,
As step by step,
Drop by drop,
I find my way home.

Fractal

You do not fall,
You do not rise;
Heaven and hell are but two sides
Of the same lie;
What was once God is now Man,
And what will be, shall be as it was then.

Bringer of life,
Harbinger of blight;
Gaze into the void,
Where Seraphim meet their demise.

And do not fear the whispers
That speak of eternal ends,
For even Death is a slave to the demon of
Impermanence.
