Crystalline chimes echo in the silence, waiting to be born
into the world. Filtered through a sieve of memories, of emotions, of perceived
trauma. Of stress, of reality, of BEING. Every second, a moment of utter bliss;
every note, another rung on the ladder up to heaven, taking me away from the
here and the now. The simplicity of a single melody, existing just beyond the
periphery of actual hearing, a faint shadow of a memory of a mind troubled,
corporeal, yet more vivid than the very instrument in my hands, the floor
beneath my feet, the sweat on my brow.
The crescendo.
A torrent, deluge, flood of emotions lay siege to the
sanctity of my mind, tempting in their wild abandon and freedom. Tempting, oh
so tempting. The desire to continue down the path is almost irresistible in its
exhilaration, comparable to diving off a cliff into deep, blue waters, not
knowing whether your fate is to dissolve away into the unknown, or to emerge
from the water, shaking with the adrenaline, the source of all this
pleasure, all this experience.
Waves of light break against the shadows of my mind, leaving
sounds that defy explanation, that defy words themselves. Sounds that were
meant to fill the gap that words can only aspire to bridge, sounds that connect with the soul the way God himself wishes he could. An aurora within a teardrop, life condensed within a second, the primal scream given voice for a moment, for a
blissful moment.
Everything makes sense now, doesn’t it?
